INDUSTRY: B2B SAAS | ROLES: MANAGER CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING, MARKETING INTERN

I was responsible for all marketing-related initiatives at BullseyeEngagement, a Human Capital Management Software provider. I collaborated frequently with the sales team, board members, and C-suite to formulate a demand generation strategy and increase the company’s visibility in the market. In addition, I facilitated several product development and customer support projects

    I increased BullseyeEngagement’s presence on LinkedIn by establishing a content calendar and posting on the platform a minimum of three times per week. I sought to establish BullseyeEngagement as a thought leader in the Human Capital Management space, so the majority of the content was educational or news-related. This included infographics, informative carousel posts, video clips from interviews with influencers, and articles on relevant topics. By introducing these highly-engaging and shareable posts, I increased the company’s follower count and average engagement rate.

  • After observing that Bullseye was ranking poorly in search, I partnered with an SEO agency to make improvements to the website for increased visibility. I assisted with keyword research and content development for all website pages and served as the liaison between the agency and Bullseye’s development team. I also noticed a high bounce rate (over 90%!) on the website homepage, so I led an effort to restructure the page and several others. By clarifying the value proposition and editing the copy, we were able to decrease the bounce rate by 12%.

  • Before I arrived at Bullseye, there was no strategy in place to monitor customer satisfaction and improve retention. I helped plan and implement various methods to do so, including:

    • Semiannual check-ins with clients (phone or video call)

    • Monthly newsletters

    • Monthly free educational webinars for clients

    • Quarterly surveys

    Checking in with customers regularly not only provided ideas to improve Bullseye’s services and marketing, but it also enabled us to gather customer feedback for testimonials on the website and case studies.

University of Houston Student Health Center (UHSHC)

INDUSTRY: HEALTHCARE, HIGHER EDUCATION | ROLE: MARKETING INTERN

AT UHSHC I created and implemented a social media marketing strategy to promote the facility. I also attended campus events, during which I spoke to students about the health center and encouraged them to visit. In addition, I collaborated with the marketing teams from other departments on campus, such as Food & Dining, Campus Recreation, and Counseling & Psychological services, to support their services.

REI Network, L.P.

INDUSTRY: SAAS | ROLE: MARKETING ASSISTANT

I supported the marketing team at REI Network by assisting with email campaigns, newsletters, the editorial calendar, and live webinars. I was responsible for editing and sending email campaigns to audiences of over 27,000 and compiling reports on the outcomes of all campaigns. I also researched and wrote weekly blog posts and promoted the content with Facebook Ads.
